Addison-Wesley has purchased many of the applets to accompany a calculus textbook. The materials they have acquired are the property of Addison-Wesley, and are used here by written permission of Addison-Wesley. Note, however, that some applets and materials in the Mathlets package are not included in what Addison-Wesley acquired, and the format of some materials is different between what appears in the Mathlets package and what appears in the Addison-Wesley materials. Any overlap between these two versions of the applets should be considered subject to the Addison-Wesley copyright. If you wish to reproduce any of the Addison-Wesley materials or copy them to another server, you will need the permission of Addison-Wesley -- the author will forward such requests, but will not guarantee that permission will be granted.

The Limits applet and the exploration of Exponential Functions and Their Derivatives appear in the first issue (January 2001) of the Journal of Online Mathematics and its Applications (JOMA), published online under the auspices of the Mathematics Association of America (MAA). In the second issue of JOMA, an article appears using the Parabolas applet. The author is now a contributing co-editor for the Developer's Area of JOMA, so materials based on the applets will continue to appear in JOMA. These materials are being published in JOMA under a "consent to publish" agreement with MAA, so this copyright notice is not otherwise affected. Future appearances in JOMA of applets subject to the Addison-Wesley copyright are covered under a "fair use" clause in the publication contract with Addison-Wesley, but remain subject to that copyright notice.
